Fly My Side. Oil on Canvas. 19.7 H x 23.6 W x 0.8 in
In János Huszti, we see a gray tone figure of a man in swimming attire with arms stretched out as in a dive into a pool. Instead of a pool, we see a red gash, which might be a splash, or a crack into the molten depths, or neither of these; it does, however, serve to draw the eye downwards from the figure, giving the sensation of falling, and of depth, an effect facilitated by the relative positioning of the two on the canvas.
